The Calderwood Seedling Fund Community Grants Program is a management account of Community Enterprise™ Charitable Fund. ABN 12 102 649 968. The Bendigo Centre, Bendigo, VIC, 3550. The Calderwood Seedling Fund is made possible by the support of Sprout Hub Calderwood and the Calderwood Project Partners Lendlease.

Did you know that 10 cents from every dollar you spend at Sprout Hub Calderwood goes into the Seedling Fund? The Seedling Fund is a community-led grant initiative that aims to promote and enable local groups to do great things in the community. In a process similar to crowd funding, the community votes for which projects get the majority of the $’s. We call it a ground up grant – money raised by the community, for the community.

All Saints Preschool (Multimodal Learning towards Big School!)

All Saints Preschool is an early childhood education centre providing learning opportunities for children in the Calderwood Valley. With the aim to create a more engaging and inclusive learning environment, as well as prepare students for their further education, the preschool will be using the funding to purchase a Smart Board. The technology will allow the preschool to add new dimensions to their curriculum and enable more interactive learning experiences. The Smart Board will also be utilised in a community event run by All Saints Preschool to promote the continuation of local Aboriginal culture, simultaneously strengthening the school’s connection with the wider community.

St Paul's School Parents and Friends Association (Shading Our Future)

St Paul's Catholic Primary School Parents and Friends Association has been working together with the school’s leadership and community stakeholders over the past three years to raise funds to build a shade sail structure to cover the school’s entire front playground area. The shaded area will allow year-round access to this large area for educational and extra-curricular activities for the school’s children and families, as well as the wider community. The area is utilised for the majority of school activities including assemblies, sports activities and community events. The Seedling Fund grant will be consolidated with funds the school community has raised to date to be able to erect this shade sail.
